A few days ago, I had another seizure. This time, I didn’t see it coming, no aura, no nothing. I wasn’t tired, no more than any other father of a baby, nor was I stressed out because of something.
It just happened. Unfortunately, it happened when I was watching a movie with my wife (and our baby beside) and I scared them a little. The aftermath: a cracked lip, nothing more. Of course, I don’t mention here the usual migraine and extreme fatigue that comes with the territory.

This year I decided to put my little gray cells to work and give me wife a personal Valentine`s Day present. I haven’t written poetry for years and, when I used to do it, I wrote very gloomy stuff. But here it goes.

Humanity today is regressing. Whatever steps we take forward, they take us back as human beings.
We live in a world that, although it has borders, it is limitless. People can travel anywhere, see anything, experience every feeling that ever existed, but we are not satisfied. We try to impose borders on ourselves, we fight today to be recognized as not belonging to “their community”, to be labeled as part of a smaller group. We fight today to impose limits to a world in which yesterday people have fought so that it didn`t have any. And we applauded them. Continue reading “Short essay on humanity”
