Dealing with epilepsy · Way too personal

Professional cuddling for epilepsy

Professional cuddling, here is something I didn’t know existed. I found about this due to a friend. There are people out there, others than psychologists, pshyciatrists and friends, that offer to help you with a nice talk, a sensitive discussion and a cuddle (for a fee, of course).

But how can this help people with epilepsy?

Well, for people with epilepsy, mental health is an issue, socializing is an issue, making friends or “more than friends”?! – well, it’s definitely an issue. Having someone close to you that understands is sometimes hard and therapy, in all its forms, helps some of us.

But would you pay someone just to cuddle with you and to whom you would open up, even if just for 1 hour? Honestly, I wouldn’t.
